Clarity for founders making difficult decisions
In a world of constant noise, clarity is harder to find.
I work with founders who are facing real decisions — funding, strategy, growth, hiring, AI — and want to think things through properly before acting.
After 25+ years building companies and mentoring founders, I now help founders think clearly about the decisions that matter.
Not sure where to start?
You can try the AI Mentor first.
It’s trained on my mentoring approach and designed to help founders think through a problem before acting.
Many founders use it to clarify a question before deciding whether a conversation would help.
Better decisions when the stakes are high.
When decisions feel complex or overwhelming, it helps to slow down and think them through properly.
Most founders spend too little time asking:
What problem are we actually trying to solve?
Einstein put it well:
“If I had an hour to solve a problem, I would spend 55 minutes thinking about the problem and 5 minutes thinking about solutions.”
In practice, most of us do the opposite.
I work with founders who want to define the real problem first — before committing time, money and energy to the wrong solution.
Situations where founders often reach out
Most founders don’t need mentoring all the time.
But certain moments benefit from an experienced outside perspective.
For example:
• deciding whether to raise funding now or later
• questioning whether the current strategy still makes sense
• growth slowing and not knowing why
• hiring or leadership decisions
• deciding how and where to apply AI
• feeling overwhelmed by too many options
Often the most valuable step is simply clarifying the real problem before acting.
Founder clarity sessions
I work one-to-one with founders who are facing important decisions.
These are focused clarity conversations — usually 60–90 minutes dedicated to understanding the situation, defining the real problem, and exploring possible paths forward.
No long-term commitment.
Some founders book a single session.
Others book a series or simply return when new decisions arise.
I usually work with only a small number of founders at a time.
Most sessions involve one focused conversation about a specific decision you’re facing. If you’re unsure whether a session is right, send a short note describing the decision you’re facing and I’ll respond personally.

Try asking:
"We’re growing but everything feels more complicated than it should."
"Should we raise funding now or later?"
"Where should AI actually change our business?"
Why now?
This is one of the most powerful moments in history to start a business.
AI has dramatically lowered the cost of building, testing, creating, and reaching customers.
Small teams, even solo founders, can now challenge established players in ways that were impossible a few years ago.
But AI without clarity accelerates the wrong path.
The founders who thrive now are not simply faster — they are clearer about where they are going, and why.
About Me
I’ve spent more than 25 years building and scaling companies across ecommerce, digital health, and consumer brands.
I’ve also mentored founders through programmes including Zinc VC and Sustainable Ventures.
I co-founded Confetti and Unforgettable, two venture-backed businesses that were later acquired.
Along the way, I’ve raised capital, grown teams, and navigated the usual pressures founders face.
What I’ve learned is simple:
Most problems are not solved by working harder.
They’re solved by defining the right problem.
If that resonates, we should talk.
Two guides for founders facing important decisions
I’ve written two short books about the ideas that come up most often in conversations with founders.
They’re practical, reflective and designed to help you think clearly about the decisions in front of you.
They’re also intentionally short — something you can read in an hour rather than a weekend
Many founders read them when they are thinking through an important decision.
Sometimes the ideas are enough.
Sometimes they prompt a deeper conversation.
A single conversation can often bring more clarity than weeks of thinking alone.
